Word Knowledge Video

My book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide, presents over 500 ASVAB vocabulary words that could show up on the ASVAB.  Yesterday I presented an ASVAB vocabulary word for review. The word is “insipid”.  Insipid is one of many vocabulary words that can appear on the Word Knowledge section of the ASVAB.

The question is:

What does insipid mean?

  1. Insightful
  2. Tepid
  3. Interesting
  4. Boring

I presented the word “insipid” in a video using my cat, Mr. Cuddles®, who talks thanks to an app.  In the video, he looks half asleep and says, “I was reading a book that was so insipid.  It just bored me to sleep.”  The video presents the word in context that give clues to its meaning.  The word “insipid” means boring.  Did you know what “insipid” means?
