My name is Julie Hyers, and I am “The ASVAB Tutor” behind this website. I have been tutoring for the ASVAB for 10 years and wanted to present more options for people preparing for the ASVAB. I designed the self-paced online course and the books to help more people achieve their dreams of serving in the United States military. A great amount of research went into designing the course and writing the books. There are many ASVAB books out there, but there is an advantage to my books. I am the real person behind the books. Most ASVAB study guides are published by big publishing companies, and there is no individual to reach out to for tutoring if necessary. That is what sets my books aside from other books.
My online course provides 6 months access to the course, but students work at their own pace. My course presents lessons in video format that accompany the study guides. Video lessons are presented for Arithmetic Reasoning, Mathematics Knowledge, Word Knowledge, and Paragraph Comprehension. I use my cat Mr. Cuddles™ to teach the ASVAB vocabulary in video lessons. Humor helps people to learn!
