I tutored a young man for the ASVAB over 5 years ago, his name was Kyle.  Kyle  wanted to join the Army National Guard and realized he needed help with ASVAB math.  He decided to sign up for my ASVAB prep course.  He had looked into other ASVAB tutors, but realized that I was the one that would be able to help him reach his goals.  Kyle took part in group classes and individual classes.  He took part in online classes and in person classes.  Each week I saw how ASVAB tutoring was helping his skills in ASVAB math.  Finally, the day came for him to take the test.  He did well and reached his goal of enlisting. We were both elated!  I remember when he finished basic training, and I received the picture of Kyle, now a  proud soldier.  This picture made me smile because I knew the effort he put into studying while taking my ASVAB prep course.  Years passed by quickly, and one day I received a text from Kyle’s mother giving me an update on his military achievements.  She let me know that as part of the Army National Guard, Kyle was one of the soldiers involved in setting up the Jacob Javits Center as a  COVID hospital.  His mother beamed with pride to share the news that her son had made the cover of The Wall Street Journal recognizing his role as a   soldier in the National Guard in setting up the hospital.  His mother thanked me for helping him with the exam and was excited about his achievements.  Her message and the picture truly made my day.  Kyle is the tall one in the picture, in case you were wondering!
