Common Types of Author’s Purpose Answer

As an ASVAB tutor, I review the different types of questions on the Paragraph Comprehension section of the ASVAB.  Author’s purpose is the reason the author wrote the piece.  Yesterday I presented a question on author’s purpose.  The question presents 4 different answer choices.  Three of them are common types of author’s purpose and one is not.  Do you know which one is not a common example of author’s purpose?

Which of the following is NOT a common example of author’s purpose?
