Word Knowledge
As an ASVAB tutor, I meet many students who ask me how to boost their vocabulary score on the Word Knowledge section of the test. I emphasize the importance of studying common ASVAB vocabulary words. However, this is not enough. I make sure my students realize that studying Latin and Greek roots will help expand their vocabulary even more. Today’s question asks about the meaning of the root word chron-.
Chron- is a Greek root word. There are many words in English that consist of the Greek root chron-. Some examples are achronism, anachronism, chronology, chronometer, chronic, and chronicle. Do you know what chron- means? I will present the answer and explanation tomorrow.
