In my ASVAB prep course, one of the topics that I cover in Mathematics Knowledge is the topic of angles and slope.  When I tutor for the ASVAB, I remind my students that knowing how to find the slope of a line is a topic that might help improve their ASVAB math score.

Today’s question presents the equation of a line.

y = -3x – 4

In looking at this equation, you can tell the slope and y-intercept of the line without performing any mathematical calculations.

Do you know the slope of this line?

The answer and explanation will be presented tomorrow.
