If 5/3x – 3 = 32, what is the value of x?

As an ASVAB tutor, I teach my students about algebra.  This example involves algebra with fractions.  Algebra with fractions is one of the 15 subtopics I teach in Arithmetic Reasoning and have included in my study guide, The ASVAB Tutor’s Arithmetic Reasoning Study Guide.  To solve this problem correctly, it is essential to solve for x.  The goal is to get numbers on one side of the equal sign and the x on the other side.  There are a few steps to follow in order to solve this problem.  Do you know how to solve this problem?  I will post the answer and explanation tomorrow.
