Arithmetic Reasoning

In working as an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of mastering questions on distance and rate.  Today I present a distance and rate question which could appear on the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB.  Distance and rate is one of the 15 subtopics that I review in my ASVAB prep course.  Many of my ASVAB students could use help with the topic of distance and rate. The question involved a train traveling at a rate of 60 mph.  If the train left at 6 AM, and needed to travel 540 miles, when would it reach its destination?  This problem is a two-step problem.  Do you know what steps need to be taken to solve this problem?  I will present the answer and explanation tomorrow.
