Arithmetic Reasoning Measurement Question on Cutting Up Pieces of Wood

In my ASVAB prep course, I place a great deal of emphasis on providing help for ASVAB math.  One topic that I cover in Arithmetic Reasoning is measurement.  Many students dread the questions that involve cutting up pieces of wood.  As someone who tutors for the ASVAB, I remind my students that it is essential to know conversions in measurement to be able to solve measurement questions.  It is essential to know the conversions for miles, yards, feet and inches in measuring length.
