One topic that I present in my ASVAB prep course is the topic of patterns and sequences. As an ASVAB tutor, I know that the topic of patterns and sequences is an important topic to review for the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB. It could also appear on the Mathematics Knowledge section of the test. Today I present a question on patterns and sequences.
The question is:
What comes next in the pattern?
1/4, 1/16, 1/64, _____

I remind my students to look at each of the numbers in the pattern. Examine what is happening from one number to the next. Do you know what number comes next in this pattern? I will present the answer and explanation in two days.
