Arithmetic Reasoning
In working as an ASVAB tutor, I present lessons on percentages. Percentage is one of the numerous subtopics that I cover in reviewing for the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB. There are a number of different types of percentages questions on the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB. Some examples include: sales tax, tip, commission, interest rate, percent increase and decrease, discount questions, multiple discount questions, andrate of population change, among others.
Today I present an Arithmetic Reasoning question on percentages.
The question is:
In a group of 80 people, 30 people are male.
What percent are female?
- 30%
- 50%
- 5%
- 5%
