Answer to yesterday’s post about detail questions on the ASVAB
Yesterday I presented a question asking to identify the detail question from a group of questions. Of the questions I presented yesterday the detail question was, “Where was the missing boy found?” As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students that detail questions are commonly found on the Paragraph Comprehension section of the ASVAB. The answers are directly stated in the story. Detail questions are straightforward and usually do not require inferential thinking. When being asked a detail question, do not look for the main idea of the story. Skim through the passage and find the detail in question.
