Yesterday I presented a Word Knowledge question about the meaning of the word “blemish”.

Do you know what the word “blemish” means?

A blemish is a flaw or a defect.  A blemish could refer to a pimple on one’s face, a fault in someone’s past, or even a chip on a car’s new paint job.  Blemish is one of the many words I have decided to teach as an ASVAB tutor.  As an ASVAB tutor, I make sure to present the word in the context of a sentence with Mr. Cuddles®, my talking cat. “I decided to wear these glasses to hide a blemish on my face.  I don’t need anyone to see my flaws.”  Never lose sight of the importance of reviewing ASVAB vocabulary to boost your ASVAB score.
