In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure to review the names of all the shapes. When I ask the students that I tutor for the ASVAB if they names of all the shapes, they answer, “Yes.” I think they feel almost insulted that I asked such a question. But when I ask if they know what a hendecagon is, they say, “A What?” Most people do not know that a hendecagon is an 11 sided shape. Needless to say, make sure you know the names of the shapes. It will help your ASVAB math score. Yesterday I presented a Mathematics Knowledge question about a shape known as a dodecagon. Do you know how many sides a dodecagon has? A dodecagon has 12 sides. Make sure you know the name of all the shapes up to the 12 sided shape, dodecagon.
