What is 30% of 70?
The proportion can be set up
is/of = %/100
In this problem, 30% is the percent, 70 is the of, and the “is” is missing.
x/70 = 30/100
Cross multiply and solve for x
100x = 2100
Divide by 100 on each side.
x = 21
