Answer to Paragraph Comprehension Question on Cause and Effect

In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure to talk about the different types of Paragraph Comprehension questions that can appear on the test.  As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students that cause and effect is one of these types of questions.  I realize it is important for me to help to improve my students’ ASVAB math scores as well as their ASVAB vocabulary and reading scores.

This question asks which choice is not an example of cause and effect.  Cause and effect shows that one action or event led to another.

3 of the 4 choices do show cause and effect while one does not.

The only example that does not show cause and effect is choice C. Lena went to the store and forgot her wallet.  In this example, there is no illustration of cause and effect.
