ASVAB Word Knowledge
Yesterday I presented a vocabulary word. The word was “baffle”.
Do you know what baffle means?
“Baffle” is one of the ASVAB vocabulary words I present in my ASVAB prep course. As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of studying ASVAB vocabulary in addition to Latin and Greek prefixes, root words, and suffixes. The word “baffle” does not have any prefix, root word, or suffix. I presented a video of my cat, Mr. Cuddles explaining the meaning of the word “baffle” using context clues. His sentence is, “As a superhero, I work to baffle the villains. I confuse, perplex, or frustrate them so they cannot defeat me.” Baffle means to confuse completely. Did you know what “baffle” means?
