Word Knowledge

Yesterday I presented a question about the prefix hyper-.  Do you know what the prefix hyper- means?

The prefix hyper- is one of the many prefixes I included in my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide.  Hyper- is derived from the Greek root for over.  Many words in the English language have Greek prefix hyper-.  Hypersensitive means overly sensitive.  Hyperactive means overly active.  Hyperbole means overly praising something.  Hyperthermia means having a body temperature that is over normal.  Did you know the meaning of this prefix?
