Yesterday I presented a question on perimeter.  What is the perimeter of a hexagon if the length of each side is 5?  To answer this question correctly you need to know how many sides a hexagon has.  This topic of shapes is one topic I present in my book entitled, The ASVAB Tutor’s Mathematics Knowledge Study Guide.  A hexagon has 6 sides.  To find the perimeter of a shape, add up the sides of the shape.  Since a hexagon has 6 sides and each side has a length of 5, you can find the perimeter by multiplying 6 by 5.  6 x 5 = 30.

The perimeter is 30.
