Admiral William McRaven is a retired Commander of the United States Navy and Navy SEAL. He was invited to give a speech at a college graduation. The speech was entitled, “Make Your Bed”. The speech was so loved that it lead Admiral McRaven to write a book of the same title. His book went on to become a New York Times bestseller. As one who tutors for the ASVAB, I realize the power of motivation. To enlist in the military, people need to know that their minds need to develop a never give up type of attitude. I encourage the students in my ASVAB prep course to read books, especially books involving military inspiration. Being prepared for enlisting in the military involves making sure you get the help you need to ASVAB math, arithmetic, vocabulary and reading comprehension. However, it also involves having the right mindset. I highly recommend Admiral McRaven’s book. This bestseller was an inspirational and motivational book. A must read!
