Arithmetic Reasoning
Yesterday I presented a question about yards and miles.
Do you know how many yards are in 10 miles?
Many people that I tutor for the ASVAB dread the questions on measurement that appear on the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB. I remind them that the first step in mastering this section is the knowledge of conversion among the different units. To do well on the ASVAB, you must know how many inches are in a foot, how many feet are in a yard, how many feet are in a mile, and how many yards are in a mile.
There are 1760 yards in 1 mile.
To figure out how many yards are in 10 miles, multiply 1760 by 10.
1760 x 10 = 17,600 yards.
There are 1760 yards in 10 miles.
Did you know the answer to this question? If not, study the units of conversion in measurement.
