Yesterday I presented a question about differentiating between fact and opinion.  In teaching my ASVAB prep course, I remind students of the different types of questions that can appear on the exam.  I wrote a book entitled, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide that presents a selection of reading passages to improve my students’ reading comprehension skills in addition to the creation of 3 books to provide help on the ASVAB math sections.  One important skill is being able to differentiate between fact and opinion. Were you able to identify the question that was an opinion?  The opinion was “Spiders are scary.”  Even though many people might find spiders scary, this is an opinion and not a fact.
