Patterns and sequences are a common topic that appear on the ASVAB. In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure to include the topic of patterns and sequences in when I tutor for the Mathematics Knowledge section of the ASVAB. It is very important to be able to see and understand the patterns to be able to figure out what number should come next in the series. Knowing how to work with patterns and sequences is one of the many skills needed to help improve your ASVAB math score.
