In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure I devote time to teaching about ratios.  This is a topic in the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB.  When I work on providing help to my students on the various ASVAB math topics, I include ratios as one of the important topics that is covered.  As an ASVAB tutor, I know that the example presented today is a type of question that could possible appear on the ASVAB exam.  The question presents a situation where there are 10 men and 12 women in a room.  The question asks what the ratio of men to people in the room is.  Do you know how to solve this problem?  The answer and explanation will be presented tomorrow.
