Yesterday I presented a question that is a type of question I present in my ASVAB prep course.  As an ASVAB tutor, I see the importance of teaching my students about angles and slope to help improve their ASVAB math score in Mathematics Knowledge.

Yesterday’s question was:

What is the the slope of the line y = -3x -4

This line in written in the slope-intercept form of a line which is y = mx + b

m is the slope of the line

b is the y-intercept

In this equation, the slope is -3 since -3 is the number before x.

Did you know the answer to this problem?
