One topic for the Paragraph Comprehension section of the ASVAB that I cover in my ASVAB prep course is the topic of author’s purpose. Author’s purpose is the reason the author wrote the piece. What was the purpose in writing the piece? Today’s question presents four options for author’s purpose. Three of these options are common examples of author’s purpose, and one is not. Can you figure out which one is not a common example of author’s purpose? Even though I spend the majority of class time on providing help for ASVAB math, I know that as one of our nation’s ASVAB tutors, I need to discuss the Paragraph Comprehension section as well. Stay tuned. I will post the answer tomorrow.
